FORGE MEADOW SHINES AT PUNCHESTOWN

20 November 2017

FORGE MEADOW (IRE) put on a professional display at Punchestown on Saturday when she took the Listed Grabel Mares Hurdle. Her jumping was slick in the main and she galloped all the way to the line for a clear-cut success of seven and a half lengths under jockey Robbie Power. Having previously won at Grade 2 level, the Jessica Harrington-trained mare seems to be settling into her own again this season.

The Richard Healy-bred mare is a daughter of the late Knockhouse Stud sire Beneficial. She sold to George Mullins for a mere €3,500 at Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale in 2013 and she passed through the ring once more at Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale in 2015 where she sold to Jessica Harrington for €27,000.
