FRENCH LISTED WIN FOR TATTS IRELAND

18 April 2017

GALOP MARIN (IRE) gained the second black-type success of his career on Thursday when taking the Listed Prix Rose Or No Hurdle at Auteuil. Racing prominently, the Dominique Bressou-trained five-year-old began to extend his advantage from the turn for home and was soon clear of his rivals. Ci Blue ran on to narrow the winning margin to a length without ever matching the winner, with the front pair finishing eight lengths ahead of Curly Basc in third. His previous black-type success came over fences and his latest victory took his earnings past €110,000.

GALOP MARIN (IRE) cost Agence FIPS €13,000 as a yearling when sold by Crossogue Stud at the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale. Bred by M Fleming and M Molloy, he is out of a winning half-sister to three Listed performers, from the family of Grade 1 winner Gravieres.
