MYSTIC THEATRE (IRE) brought her winning streak to five and won her first black-type contest in impressive style on Friday; running out a 10 length winner of the Listed Pat Walsh Memorial Irish EBF Mares Hurdle at Gowran Park. Sent off favourite under Ruby Walsh, the Rose Boyd owned mare soon led and was closely tracked by Polar Present (IRE), while the remaining four allowed their advantage increase. The Willie Mullins-trained favourite began to stretch away from three out and was soon clear, despite making a slight mistake at the last.

The daughter of the late King’s Theatre (IRE) began her career in point-to-points with Colm McBratney, for whom she won twice. A full-sister to Listed winner Morello Royale (IRE), she was bred by Peter and Maria Byrne out of the Alderbrook mare Mystic Cherry (IRE), from the family of Irish Grand National winner Colebridge and Grade 2 winning chaser Noble Emperor (IRE).
