MY DREAM BOAT RETIRED TO STUD AT BRIDGE HOUSE STUD

09 November 2017

Introducing a new source of tough and consistent speed to the National Hunt market, Grade 1 Royal Ascot winning stallion, MY DREAM BOAT (IRE), retires to stud in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

Under the management of Micheál Orlandi of Compas Equine, MY DREAM BOAT (IRE) will stand at Bridge House Stud.

A multiple Group winner, MY DREAM BOAT (IRE) beat fellow Gr.1 horses Found (IRE), The Grey Gatsby (IRE) and A Shin Hikari in a scintillating performance in the Group 1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot. His turn of foot on soft ground is testament to his tough and genuine nature. His winning of the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown and the Group 3 Prix Perth at Saint-Cloud goes to highlight his consistency and soundness throughout his racing career.

Bred by Patrick Monahan at Knockross Stud in Co. Meath, MY DREAM BOAT (IRE) sold at Goffs February Mixed Sale for €3,500 in 2013 and then again for €16,000 at the Goffs Sportsman Sale the same year.

Michéal Orlandi of Compas Equine is thrilled to manage this good looking and hard knocking stallion at Bridge House Stud, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. He is looking forward to introducing a new source of speed and stamina to the Irish National Hunt market. MY DREAM BOAT (IRE) retires from racing sound of wind, heart and limb.

“It is an honour to be involved in standing MY DREAM BOAT (IRE) for Paul and Clare Rooney. He was a fantastic racehorse, winning multiple Group races throughout his career. He is an imposing individual and is commercially priced at €4,000. He will stand at Trevor Badger’s Bridge House Stud, ideally located outside Mullingar, convenient for breeders throughout Ireland.” Micheál Orlandi
