The Tattersalls Ireland Flat Foal and Breeding Stock Sale, the first breeding stock sale held in Europe in 2017, is now online and the catalogue is available in print from Friday the 6th of October. The catalogue offers 257 lots, which sell from 10am on Friday the 10th of November.

2016 graduates made their mark at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale this autumn, producing some very successful pinhooks. A bay filly by Society Rock (IRE) out of Coolminx purchased by Tally-Ho Stud for €14,500 realised €160,000, while a bay colt by Requinto (IRE) out of Maraglen was purchased for €11,000 and re-sold for €85,000 to the Hong Kong Jockey Club - both bought as foals at the 2016 Flat Foal and Breeding Stock Sale.

206 lots make up the foal section with 13 first season sires represented; Anjaal (17), Cappella Sansevero (13), Free Eagle (IRE) (1), French Navy (6), Fulbright (3), Gutaifan (IRE) (4), Hillstar (1), Ivawood (IRE) (1), Kingston Hill (8), Outstrip (2) and Shooting To Win (1). A total of 66 sires are represented in the catalogue with progeny by Society Rock (IRE) (2), Dandy Man (IRE) (9), Camacho (5), Born To Sea (IRE) (1), Slade Power (IRE) (2), Alhebayeb (IRE) (3) and War Command (2).

A further 51 broodmares and potential broodmares complete the catalogue and amongst these there is plenty of quality on offer. Dam-sires include Acclamation, Choisir, Dark Angel (IRE), Fastnet Rock, High Chaparral (IRE), Invincible Spirit (IRE), Lope de Vega (IRE)and  Montjeu (IRE). There are plenty of in foal mares catalogued in the sale and covering sires include Alhebayeb (IRE), Camacho, Red Jazz and Dawn Approach (IRE).
