Yulong Baobei - Final


With a record-breaking Goffs Orby Sale safely in the books, attention now turns to the Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale. The two-day sale is a regular source of both value and quality and will take place on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th November 2018 at Goffs sales facility in Kill, County Kildare. 

Prominent recent graduates of the Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale include Happy Odyssey (IRE) (€13,500, 2017), winner of the Listed Prix Saraca at Maisons-Laffitte this year; Yulong Baobei (IRE) (€13,000, 2016) (pictured), winner of the Listed Tipperary Stakes in 2016; and Custom Cut (IRE) (€5,800, 2011), winner of multiple Stakes races including the Group 2 Boomerang Stakes at Leopardstown in 2015.

579 lots are catalogued for the Sale across the two days in 2018, including progeny of such accomplished stallions as Bungle Inthejungle, Camacho, Dandy Man (IRE), Fastnet Rock, Footstepsinthesand, Kodiac, Lawman, Mastercraftsman (IRE), No Nay Never, Sea The Stars (IRE), Society Rock (IRE), Starspangledbanner, and Teofilo (IRE). There will also be progeny by stallions with their first yearlings in 2018, including Free Eagle (IRE), Gutaifan (IRE), and  Ivawood (IRE).

There are well-related types on offer throughout the catalogue. Notable lots include:

Lot 124 - Starspangledbanner sister to Irish 1,000 Guineas placed and Group 3 winning Ishvana (IRE);

Lot 227 - Bungle Inthejungle sister to Group 2 winner Ajigolo;

Lot 346 - Henrythenavigator brother to Group 3 winner Soraaya (IRE) and Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère placed Declaration Of War (IRE);

Lot 374 - Tagula (IRE) filly out of Group 3 Fred Darling placed Eucharist (IRE);

Lot 375 - filly by Kodiac out of Group 3 placed Explosive Lady (IRE);

Lot 537 - Hillstar brother to Group 2 Champagne Stakes winner Close To You (IRE);
