RUMBLE INTHEJUNGLE (IRE) built on his Norfolk Stakes fourth to run out an impressive winner of the Group 2 Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. The Richard Spencer-trained colt was emulating his sire, Bungle Inthejungle, for whom he was also a first Group winner. Ridden by Tom Queally, the chestnut raced home two and half lengths in front of Life Of Riley, with a neck separating him from Windsor Castle Stakes winner Soldier’s Call.

Richard Spencer was bullish before the race and his confidence grew with his charge’s impressive victory, commenting, “He's got a future. He'll go six furlongs. Tom had a job pulling him up. It's a good job there a crash barrier at the end there. He'll be a nicer three-year-old.”

RUMBLE INTHEJUNGLE (IRE) was bred by Patrick Gleeson out of the Dark Angel (IRE) mare Guana (IRE), who also produced Superlative Stakes third Great Prospector (IRE). Breeding Guana (IRE) to a son of Exceed And Excel was a shrewd move, with her half-sister by that shuttle stallion producing Group 2 winner and Grade 1 performer Birchwood (IRE), a son of Dark Angel (IRE). Talent continues down the page, with the likes of Mirza, Millyant, Prince Sabo and Abou Zouz featuring.

Bungle Inthejungle commands a fee of €5,000 at Rathasker Stud.
